On 5 August, the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) held a Members Briefing with Youqing Ma, incoming Senior Commercial Officer (SCO) at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, organized in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Held in person in Washington, D.C. and online, the briefing brought together USUBC members across defense, energy, infrastructure, technology, humanitarian, financial and other sectors for an open, off-the-record conversation ahead of Ms. Ma’s arrival in Kyiv in the coming weeks.
Stephanie Murphy, Chair of USUBC’s Board of Directors, and Nadiia Khomaziuk, USUBC Vice President, welcomed attendees before Ms. Ma shared her own perspectives — including her deep respect for the resilience of the Ukrainian people and U.S. Embassy staff working under extraordinary conditions, and her commitment to strengthening trade and economic partnerships between the United States and Ukraine.
USUBC members had the opportunity to introduce their companies directly to Ms. Ma, sharing an overview of their current operations, the realities they’re navigating on the ground, and their priorities for continued engagement in Ukraine.
We are deeply grateful to our member Bayer for generously hosting this event, and to the Department of Commerce for its continued partnership in advancing the U.S.-Ukraine business relationship.
