We are thrilled to share that on May 24th, Denys Yatsyshyn, USUBC Corporate Director, and Dmytro Filonenko, USUBC Senior Manager for Partnership and Business Development, represented the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) at the Forum “Youth – the Basis of Human Capital and Recovery of Ukraine” in Kyiv.
Denys Yatsyshyn actively contributed to the panel discussion “Finding Common Ground Between Business and Youth Policy Stakeholders,” providing valuable insights on bridging the gap between the business sector and youth policy. Dmytro Filonenko expertly moderated the session, facilitating a dynamic and engaging discussion among the invited USUBC members.
At the forum, several prominent speakers, who are also members of USUBC, delivered insightful presentations. These included Svyatoslav Kavetskyi, GR Director of N-iX and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Lviv IT Cluster; Andriy Krutyi, Director of Logistics Plus LLC and Andriy Dubas, President of the Association of Ukrainian Banks.
The event’s primary focus was to lay the groundwork for the URC 2024 Conference by fostering concrete results and partnerships. It aimed to present the youth community’s proposals for preserving and developing human capital in Ukraine, maintain cultural, educational, and socio-economic ties of young people under temporary protection in the EU with Ukraine while nurturing their interest in returning, develop tools to expand youth employment potential, and discuss the impact of Ukraine’s EU candidate status on youth policy. Additionally, it sought to identify national-scale challenges in youth policy and explore potential solutions.
