USUBC and UkraineInvest Meet to Strengthen Cooperation on Foreign Direct Investment

On 4 June, Irina Paliashvili, USUBC President and CEO, together with the USUBC Team, met with UkraineInvest — Ukraine’s government investment promotion office responsible for attracting foreign direct investment and supporting investors operating in Ukraine, to discuss opportunities for strengthening cooperation aimed at attracting foreign direct investment to Ukraine and supporting Ukrainian economic resilience. 

During the meeting Maryna Khlystun, CEO UkraineInvest, highlighted the agency’s ongoing transformation toward a more proactive model of investor engagement, focused on identifying and supporting potential investors from the earliest stages of interest through project implementation. Irina Paliashvili welcomed UkraineInvest’s proactive approach to investor engagement and reaffirmed USUBC’s commitment to maintaining close cooperation with UkraineInvest, facilitating dialogue with the business community, and promoting greater engagement of the U.S. business community in Ukraine’s long-term economic development.

The discussion also covered the broader investment ecosystem in Ukraine, including available government support mechanisms, public-private partnership opportunities, industrial parks, investment project facilitation, and ongoing efforts to improve the business environment in Ukraine.
