On 9 June, the Association of Philanthropists of Ukraine held the awards ceremony for the 19th National Competition “Charitable Ukraine – 2025: Philanthropy in Defense of Ukraine” in Kyiv, recognizing outstanding charitable, volunteer, and business initiatives from across the country and abroad. The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council earned third place in the Small and Medium Business Philanthropy category, joining a cohort of nearly 1,700 applicants competing across 28 nominations.
Several USUBC member companies were also recognized: SoftServe Ukraine took first place in Corporate Philanthropy, Sigma Software Unity Fund placed second in the same category, United Help Ukraine received second place in Healthcare Philanthropy, and BGV Charitable Foundation placed third in Healthcare Philanthropy. Winners received the amber “Angel of Good” statuette — widely regarded as Ukraine’s equivalent of the Oscar for philanthropy.
