MHP, one of the largest international food and agro companies headquartered in Ukraine, has joined the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC). This step marks a new chapter in strengthening business, trade, and strategic relations between MHP and the United States.
MHP produces high-quality, healthy food products that enhance consumers’ lives. The company operates across agriculture, food production, and retail, with manufacturing facilities in Ukraine and South-Eastern Europe. It also has subsidiaries in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other EU countries.
MHP employs over 36,000 people in Ukraine and internationally. The company exports its products to more than 80 countries worldwide and manages a land bank of 360,000 hectares across 12 regions of Ukraine, maintaining a vertically integrated structure that ensures product quality and operational efficiency.
In the context of the full-scale war, MHP sees its mission as contributing to the economic resilience and food security of Ukraine. The company is the largest taxpayer in the country’s agricultural sector and ranks among the top five largest investors nationwide.
“As a Ukrainian-rooted global company, we believe that closer cooperation with U.S. business institutions and partners will unlock new opportunities for growth, investment, and shared value,” said Yuriy Melnyk, Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Sustainable Development. “We are honored to join USUBC and look forward to contributing to a strong transatlantic dialogue on food security, innovation, and post-war recovery.”
Irina Paliashvili, President & CEO of USUBC, added: “MHP is a flagship of Ukraine’s agri-food sector and a strong voice for innovation, sustainability, and community engagement. Their leadership in export development, investment and resilience during wartime makes them a critical player in Ukraine’s recovery and global economic integration.”
As a food company, MHP develops and promotes over 15 product brands worldwide, including Qualiko, Sultanah, Assilah, Nasha Ryaba, Apetytna, Lehko!, Bashchynskyi, Skott Smeat, RyabChick, and others.
Beyond business, MHP is deeply engaged in community support and social impact. In Ukraine, it works closely with its strategic partner, the Charitable Foundation MHP — Gromadi, implementing long-term programs that improve community infrastructure, education, and healthcare across the regions where the company operates.
MHP also fosters the MHP Standing Together program — a flagship initiative providing individualized assistance and comprehensive support to military personnel, veterans, their families, and those awaiting the return of their loved ones from the frontlines.
By joining USUBC, MHP aims to build strategic partnerships, share its experience in operating under extreme conditions, and jointly explore food resilience and investment opportunities that will support Ukraine’s reconstruction and global food systems.
