Adtran, a global provider of fiber networking and telecommunications solutions headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, has joined the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council as its newest member. Founded in 1985, Adtran designs and delivers broadband access, optical transport and network management technologies that help service providers, utilities, enterprises and governments build resilient, high-capacity digital infrastructure. With operations spanning North America, Europe and beyond, the company brings deep technical expertise in fiber connectivity and next-generation networking to USUBC’s growing membership base.
Adtran’s membership comes as it pursues infrastructure opportunities in Ukraine focused on broadband access, optical transport and network modernization, areas central to the country’s reconstruction and long-term digital resilience. The company sees its work in Ukraine as an extension of its broader mission to enable connectivity for communities, businesses and public institutions, including in rural and underserved regions, smart-grid communications, and secure next-generation telecommunications networks. Through USUBC, Adtran intends to engage with government-facing channels, reconstruction funding bodies, and sector-specific working groups to align its capabilities with Ukraine’s recovery priorities.
“Ukraine’s telecommunications and energy infrastructure are central to its recovery, and Adtran is committed to bringing our broadband and network modernization expertise to support that effort,” said Stuart Broome, GM of EMEA and APAC Sales at Adtran. “Joining USUBC gives us a direct line into the partnerships, funding mechanisms and stakeholder relationships that will help us contribute meaningfully to Ukraine’s reconstruction.”
“We are pleased to welcome Adtran to USUBC at a moment when reliable connectivity and resilient infrastructure are more important to Ukraine than ever,” said Irina Paliashvili, President & CEO of USUBC. “Adtran’s experience in broadband, optical networking and critical infrastructure communications fills an important gap in our membership, and we look forward to connecting the company with the partners and opportunities that will accelerate Ukraine’s recovery.”
