Skills Alliance for Ukraine Invites Companies to Apply for “Skill Partnerships for Productivity”

The Skills Alliance for Ukraine, a platform initiated by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, has launched a call for Skill Partnerships for Productivity. The initiative offers a structured framework through which companies can work directly with training providers to establish or scale labor market-relevant vocational training programs, addressing the growing gap between companies’ adoption of new technologies and processes and the pace of Ukraine’s Vocational Education and Training (VET) system.

The Skills Alliance for Ukraine brings together more than 110 actors from the public and private sphere. Its members have committed EUR 1.2 billion to training initiatives for Ukrainians and plan to train up to 840,000 people by 2027.

Under the Skill Partnerships model, each partner contributes according to its role. Companies provide technological know-how, staff, training equipment, or internship opportunities; training providers contribute didactic expertise, infrastructure, and certification; and the Skills Alliance provides technical support and co-financing for selected initiatives.

Project financing is shared between the participating company and the Skills Alliance. The company covers at least 50% of total project costs, while the Skills Alliance contributes between EUR 50,000 and 200,000, proportional to the company’s investment.

International and Ukrainian companies currently active in Ukraine are eligible to submit proposals. The deadline for submissions is August 31, 2026.

Further information and required documents are available on the Skills Alliance website: Skill Partnerships for Productivity.

An information session on this call will be held on Thursday, July 16, at 11:00 CET / 12:00 EEST. Interested parties may join via the following link: Information Session.
