Ukraine’s largest telecom operator, Kyivstar, has expanded its renewable energy portfolio with the acquisition of six solar power plants in the Lviv region, totalling 105 megawatts of capacity, in a transaction valued at UAH 3.6 billion. Kinstellar’s Kyiv team provided turnkey representation — spanning due diligence, regulatory support, financial restructuring across multiple secured facilities, and six merger control approvals from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine. Combined with a previous acquisition also advised by Kinstellar, Kyivstar’s total solar capacity now reaches 118 megawatts, enough to cover roughly 30% of the company’s electricity needs.
