Efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s domestic energy capacity are gaining momentum through new international cooperation in the gas sector. DTEK has signed a memorandum of understanding with Baker Hughes to expand gas production by combining advanced technologies with local operational expertise. The agreement, signed during CERAWeek, aims to unlock Ukraine’s significant natural gas reserves and enhance both national and European energy security. By scaling domestic output, the partnership is expected to reduce reliance on external supply chains and reinforce long-term energy resilience.
