CMS advised Norwegian renewable energy company Scatec ASA on a EUR 100 million project financing provided by the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and Banca Comercială Română (BCR) for the “Dobrun & Sadova” portfolio located in Dolj and Olt counties in southern Romania — marking Scatec’s first projects in the country. The transaction, which follows Scatec’s successful participation in Romania’s first CfD auction, involved complex coordination of contractual, regulatory, and financing elements across a multi-lender structure, underscoring the depth of CMS’s cross-border project finance capabilities in the renewables sector.
