Among his proudest accomplishments was serving as a key member of the Hellas Liberty project alongside Spyros Polemis and Rhode Island State Senator Leonidas Raptakis. Through their collective efforts, the SS Arthur M. Huddell—the last remaining Liberty ship in U.S. hands—was donated to the Greek Government by an act of Congress signed by President George W. Bush and converted into a floating museum in Piraeus, honoring the Greek seafarers who served on Liberty vessels, including Mr. Iltsopoulos’ father and uncles.
Mr. Iltsopoulos holds a Bachelor of Arts in Intelligence from American Military University and an undergraduate certificate in Terrorism Studies. A published author, he has written extensively on terrorism, counterterrorism, transnational crime, and law enforcement intelligence.
