Diego Rodas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic and Control Engineering from Escuela Politécnica Nacional, earned in 1994 and numerous studies in instrumentation and management. He has more than 30 years of international experience in automation, control systems, power systems, and business development across multiple industries.
He began his career in automation and control engineering, spending nearly 16 years in progressively senior technical roles. His experience ranges from Senior Field Engineer in the oil and gas industry to Senior Systems Design Engineer supporting the food, pharmaceutical, and industrial sectors. Throughout his technical career, he led and supported numerous automation, integration, and substation projects focused on reliability, control, and operational efficiency.
Since joining Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) in 2007, Diego has played a key role in supporting international markets through both technical leadership and strategic business development. Over the past 18+ years, he has successfully led sales initiatives, market expansion, and customer engagement activities across Southern Europe and the Eurasia region.
Based in Madrid, Spain since 2017, Diego currently serves as Senior Sales Manager for the global federal and public sector, where he continues to drive market development, strengthen customer relationships, and support regional operations for SEL.
