Dan Lipman

Dan Lipman is President, Global Business Initiatives at Westinghouse Electric Company. In this role, he leads global strategic projects in multifaceted geopolitical, diplomatic and commercial situations while providing counsel on the company’s overarching strategy.

Most recently, he served as President of APX Project Development & Partnerships – leading the commercial arrangements, project development and deal execution for our AP1000® Pressurized Water Reactor and derivative technologies across the world.

Dan has more than four decades of experience in the nuclear industry. He started at Westinghouse as a field engineer and has held senior roles overseeing sales, the global supply chain, quality, environment, health & safety, information technology, strategy and sustainability functions. From 2005 to 2009, Dan led Westinghouse’s new plant business, securing the landmark AP1000 PWR contracts in China and the United States.

Prior to rejoining Westinghouse in 2024, Dan served in leadership roles at the Nuclear Energy Institute, which included oversight of nuclear exports, international trade, fuel cycle policy and programs, and policy analysis. He has also been an advisor to the U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Trade and Development Agency on small reactor development and support to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in emerging nuclear countries’ industrial development.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester’s College of Arts, Sciences and Engineering and master’s degree from John Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
