Business Executives for National Security (BENS) has formed a new Ambassador’s Council — a body of former U.S. Ambassadors designed to bridge diplomacy, defense, and industry in addressing today’s most pressing geopolitical and economic challenges. Among its inaugural members is Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt, Senior Managing Director for Energy and Critical Minerals at McLarty Associates and a Senior Advisor to the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC). His tenure as Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources and U.S. Ambassador to both Greece and Ukraine gives him rare insight into the intersection of geopolitics and global energy markets. The Council will work alongside BENS’s Distinguished Senior Fellows — recently retired senior military leaders — to advise on where private sector expertise can deliver the greatest impact in support of national security missions abroad.
