AeroVironment, Inc., a USUBC member, has announced a landmark agreement to acquire BlueHalo LLC, another USUBC member, creating a global leader in next-generation defense technologies.
The all-stock transaction, valued at approximately $4.1 billion, will combine AeroVironment’s expertise in uncrewed systems and advanced technologies with BlueHalo’s cutting-edge solutions in space technologies, electronic warfare, and AI-powered autonomy. This strategic merger will enhance innovation, manufacturing capabilities, and customer reach, positioning the combined entity as a leader in multi-domain defense systems.
The acquisition marks AeroVironment’s entry into key new defense segments, including counter-uncrewed aircraft systems (cUAS), directed energy, and cyber technologies, expanding its total addressable market. Expected to deliver over $1.7 billion in annual revenue, the merger demonstrates AeroVironment’s commitment to advancing critical defense missions for the U.S. and allied nations.
