While Ukraine’s banking system continues to shrink its branch networks, Accordbank has taken the opposite approach, opening six new branches in the first half of 2026 — more than any other bank in the country, according to National Bank of Ukraine data. As of July 2026, the bank’s network comprises 179 branches, ranking it 8th in Ukraine by regional presence, even as the sector as a whole cut 61 branches over the same period. Bank leadership described the expansion as a deliberate investment in customer trust, financial accessibility, and community development, framing new branches during wartime as a demonstration of confidence in Ukraine’s future.
