Ukraine’s legal market is being reshaped by wartime conditions and rapid growth in the defense sector, according to Maryan Martynyuk, Senior Partner at Moris. He noted that military and defense work has become a dominant force in the market, competing with IT for talent while generating substantial legal work, alongside continued strong demand in white-collar crime and dispute resolution. Martynyuk also pointed to major legislative developments ahead, including a new framework for exporting military equipment and technologies, an anticipated FDI screening mechanism, and a widely debated proposed Civil Code.
