DTEK and Octopus Energy Launch €100 Million Joint Venture for Rooftop Solar Initiative

Project RISE will roll out rooftop solar and battery storage systems across Ukraine, enabling businesses and public sector organizations to generate and store electricity on site amid continued Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. Equipment will be installed at no upfront cost, with customers gaining ownership after a 10-year contract term, and the two partners are now seeking long-term financing while each holding an equity stake in the venture. DTEK noted the initiative reflects shareholder Rinat Akhmetov’s strategy of building international partnerships to strengthen Ukraine’s energy resilience.
