On 18 June, the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), in partnership with the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), hosted a private sector roundtable in Kyiv bringing together U.S. and Ukrainian business leaders to advance investment cooperation in critical minerals, energy, and oil and gas. The discussion took place against the backdrop of deepening bilateral economic ties, with participants examining opportunities, challenges, and practical pathways for implementing projects under the Agreement on the Establishment of a United States-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund. The Roundtable concluded with the preparation of concrete recommendations to the Government of Ukraine on reforms and policy measures to facilitate the Agreement’s implementation and encourage greater private investment.
Opening and keynote remarks were delivered by Irina Paliashvili, President & CEO of USUBC, and Eric K. Hontz, Director of CIPE. The roundtable discussion that followed was moderated by Glib Bondar, Senior Partner at AVELLUM, and featured contributions from Valery Hrebeniuk, Advisor on Diplomatic Issues at NJSC Nadra Ukrainy; Vita Khyzhniak, Head of the Foreign Economic Relations Department, Mining Division at BGV Group Management; Maryna Koltsova, Director at Alvarez & Marsal Middle East Limited; Kseniya Orynchak, Founder and Executive Director of the National Association of Extractive Industries of Ukraine; and Sergiy Tsivkach, Senior Advisor at Albright Stonebridge Group, Europe & Eurasia.
