Peter Briggs is a Managing Director and CEO of Alvarez & Marsal Sovereign Advisory Services, LLC. He also manages A&M’s regional practices in Central & Eastern Europe, and in Central Asia, and currently leads A&M’s role as Fund Advisor to the US Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund. Mr Briggs has previously served as Global Practice Leader for A&M’s Financial Services practice and has led A&M’s corporate restructuring practices in Germany, the UK, CEE, and Russia/CIS. Notable past cases include; Arthur Andersen, Lehman Brothers, advising the governments of Greece, Cyprus and Spain through the GFC, and numerous interim CEO, CRO and board leadership roles in major European and US corporate restructurings.
Prior to his 25 years with A&M, he served in a variety of management roles in twenty years with Citibank, including as Corporate Bank Head for Czechia, Corporate Finance and Capital Markets Head in CEECA, and as the founder and Managing Partner of Citigroup Venture Capital for the CEECA region. Mr Briggs has an AB degree from Middlebury College and an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business.
