USUBC President Morgan Williams and California-based members participated in the Rebuild Ukraine Forum held in San Francisco on June 5th. The event featured notable speakers such as California Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis, Ukrainian Consul General in San Francisco Dmytro Kushneruk, Matthew Edwards, Director of the Office of Russian & Ukraine at the U.S. Commercial Service, and Penny Pritzker, U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine’s Economic Recovery, who brought her remarks virtually. Morgan Williams contributed to the panel discussion on Private Sector Perspectives in Ukraine, highlighting the critical role of the private sector in Ukraine’s ongoing reconstruction efforts.
The Rebuild Ukraine Forum, co-organized by the U.S. Commercial Service, California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) and the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco, aimed to engage Bay Area companies in providing solutions essential to Ukraine’s resilience. The forum covered sectors including space tech, drones, energy resiliency, architecture, construction, cyber, and medtech. Companies like Allrise Capital, ATN International Ukraine, and Usko Logistics Inc. attended, exploring opportunities to support Ukraine’s recovery. This event underscored the vital contributions of both federal and state entities, as well as the significant potential for U.S. businesses to engage in Ukraine’s reconstruction and growth.
