This year’s AVELLUM Disputes Day focuses on practical solutions to one of the most pressing challenges in international litigation – turning a court or arbitration win into enforceable recovery across borders. The webinar will examine how to navigate the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards and foreign judgments in key jurisdictions, including the Netherlands, France, Cyprus, Ukraine, and Switzerland.

Speakers will present case-based insights on issues such as enforcement against sovereign assets, the strategic use of interim relief, lifting the corporate veil, and accessing debtor information in data-sensitive jurisdictions. The session will also address the impact of choosing between arbitral awards and court judgments on future enforcement efforts.

Agenda Highlights:

  • Inter-EU enforcement mechanisms – Tom Hoyer, BarentsKrans (Netherlands)

  • Lifting the corporate veil in enforcement – Alexandra Szekely, Le16 Law (France); Oleksandra Syerova, AVELLUM (Ukraine)

  • Enforcement against sovereign assets – Julie Spinelli, Le16 Law (France)

  • Interim relief in Cyprus – Andrea Psara, Kaimakliotis LLC (Cyprus)

  • Swiss enforcement procedures and asset tracing – Nicolas Kuonen, Niederer Kraft Frey (Switzerland)

Moderators:

Vadim Medvedev, Oleksii Maslov – Partners, AVELLUM

Roman Syniuta – Managing Associate, AVELLUM

Participation is free of charge; registration is required. The session will be held in English with simultaneous interpretation into Ukrainian.
