Maria Davydenko is a career member of the United States Foreign Service currently serving at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine. Before her assignment in Kyiv, Maria was a stabilization officer at the Syria Regional Platform based in Istanbul, Turkey. She has also served as a Yemen desk officer in Washington and previously worked at the U.S. consulates in Lagos, Nigeria; and Mumbai, India.
Maria holds a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She is from Anchorage, Alaska and speaks Russian and Arabic.
