On September 3–4, the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council participated in the second iteration of the Boosting Subcontractor Readiness Conference in Kyiv, partnering with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service (FCS), and the U.S. Department of State.
The conference brought together U.S. and Ukrainian business leaders to strengthen collaboration on Ukraine’s reconstruction and to support Ukrainian SMEs in aligning with international standards and subcontracting practices.
USUBC members actively contributed to the discussions. Speakers included Mykola Stetsenko, USUBC Executive Committee member, President of the Ukrainian Bar Association and Managing Partner of AVELLUM Law Firm, John Huppee, Senior Director, International Operations, SOC LLC USA, and Oleg Boichuk, Partner, Asters Law Firm. Their remarks highlighted key legal, operational and business perspectives critical for fostering sustainable partnerships between Ukrainian companies and international prime contractors.
