On Tuesday, October 31, USUBC hosted a business meeting for its members with Ambassador Bridget Brink. The meeting revolved around discussing both immediate and long-term objectives for the US Embassy’s initiatives in Ukraine. In the short term, the focus is on aiding Ukraine in generating revenue, bolstering the agricultural and steel sectors, supporting small to medium-sized businesses, advancing reform agendas, enhancing the justice system, and fostering investment.
On a broader horizon, the long-term aspirations include fortifying the defense sector and capitalizing on positive economic investments, which encompass infrastructure development, demining, and reconstruction projects. Ambassador is convinced that time for businesses to come and invest in Ukraine is now! The members of USUBC expressed their gratitude to Ambassador Brink, commending her unwavering support for reforms, business growth, and a prosperous Ukraine.
Key points about Bridget Brink
Ambassador Brink was nominated by President Biden as the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine in 2022 and previously served as the Ambassador to the Slovak Republic. With over twenty-five years in the Foreign Service, she has held various roles, primarily focusing on U.S. policy in Europe and Eurasia. Originally from Michigan, she joined the State Department in 1996 and has an educational background from the London School of Economics and Kenyon College.
