On 26 March, USUBC, in partnership with American University Kyiv (AUK) and Mercy Corps, host a working lunch in Kyiv with Taras Vysotskyi, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine. The discussion focused on the Ministry’s strategic priorities for 2026, wartime agricultural logistics and grain exports, key sector challenges for 2026-2027, and the role of innovation and technology in strengthening resilience across Ukraine’s agricultural sector.
The discussion featured Vicki Aken, Country Director of Mercy Corps, Dan Rice, President of AUK, Irina Paliashvili, President & CEO of USUBC, and Deputy Minister Taras Vysotskyi, who exchanged perspectives on the importance of coordinated public-private engagement to support Ukraine’s economic stability and recovery. The speakers addressed ongoing efforts to maintain agricultural production and exports under wartime conditions, while also highlighting opportunities for collaboration with international partners.
The meeting brought together USUBC members and stakeholders from agriculture, food processing, technology, and logistics sectors, fostering a practical dialogue on strengthening cooperation with the Ministry and advancing innovative solutions to support Ukraine’s resilience and long-term growth.
