In July 2023, Superhumans Center initiated a powerful collaboration with French surgeons that has grown into a consistent and systematic partnership. Supported by Ukraine’s Ministry of Health and France’s Ministry of Labour, Health and Solidarity, the joint intergovernmental project focuses on performing complex reconstructive surgeries for patients with facial injuries caused by mines and gunshots.

France, known for its renowned school of facial reconstructive surgery, brings decades of expertise shaped by two world wars. One of its most distinguished figures, Professor Bernard Devauchelle — the first surgeon to successfully perform a full face transplant — has led complex surgeries at the Superhumans Center. To date, approximately 70 advanced facial reconstruction surgeries have been completed, and over 200 patients have received consultations from leading French specialists including Chloé Bertolus, Sylvain Testelin, André Chaine, and Benateau Herve.

From June 2 to 13, a new medical mission will include over 10 complex procedures, including reconstructions using tissue complexes from various parts of the body, custom implant placements, and intensive professional training. Superhumans remains dedicated to restoring not only physical appearance but also vital functions such as chewing, speaking, breathing, and hearing — helping individuals regain their quality of life. This initiative is made possible through the support of Expertise France.
