Agnes Pawelkowska is a Senior International Trade Specialist at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s (DOC) International Trade Administration Global Markets Office of Eastern Europe and Eurasia covering Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belarus, Romania and Moldova. She assists U.S. companies in these markets by providing trade promotion, market access, and policy support to overcome trade barriers aiming to boost U.S. economic growth, attract inward investment into the United States and advance U.S. trade policy.
Prior to joining DOC, for over 20 years Agnes worked on numerous trade, investment and business development projects.
In 2009, she founded Green Gate Consulting, LLC to assist European companies in entering the U.S. market and U.S. companies in finding trade partners in Europe. Apart from supporting numerous private companies, Agnes worked with U.S. local governments, and the Polish local and federal governments.
She developed and organized a trade mission to Poland for the representatives of the Greater Richmond Partnership (GRP), and she represented Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) on a trade and business development trip to eight Polish cities where she held seminars for Polish companies on the U.S. market and state of Virginia business opportunities. She also worked with the state of West Virginia and Senator Joe Manchin’s office on bringing Polish companies to West Virginia. Moreover, through Green Gate Consulting, Agnes worked with the Polish Embassy in Washington, DC on performing market research through European Union founded contracts, and she frequently collaborated with Polish local governments.
In her earlier career, Agnes worked on a USAID/DOC EcoLinks trade assistance and export promotion program involving matchmaking, as well as development, management and implementation of international programs, study tours and conferences in Europe and the United States.
