SUMMARY:Webinar: Non-Financial Reporting: Postponement of Mandatory Reporting Deadlines Does Not Exempt From Obligations
DESCRIPTION:The postponement of mandatory non-financial reporting should not be used as a reason to delay important changes. In the current business climate\, there is an increasing demand for companies to adopt sustainable development principles in order to maintain competitive advantages and stakeholder trust. Experts of BDO in Ukraine will provide comprehensive guidance on sustainable development reporting\, including immediate actionable steps. \nThe following topics will be discussed in detail: \n\nOmnibus is not an easing\, but an opportunity to prepare for non-financial reporting.\nESRS is the main ESG reporting standard in Ukraine.\nGRI is an opportunity to start preparing sustainability reports\, ideal for SMEs.\n\n  \nWhy this is important \nSustainable development (ESG) is a strategy that combines economic goals with environmental and social responsibility. ESG reporting helps businesses increase the trust of investors\, partners and customers\, as well as remain competitive in the international market. \nOmnibus is a package of proposals from the European Commission with the aim of simplifying and improving corporate sustainability reporting requirements\, particularly within the CSRD Directive. The primary objective of Omnibus is to alleviate the administrative burden on businesses\, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises\, by reducing reporting requirements and simplifying complex regulations. \nESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards) are the new European standards for non-financial reporting\, developed under the EU CSRD Directive. Their primary objective is to standardise and enhance sustainability reporting across Europe by introducing a uniform approach to disclosing information about companies’ impact on the environment\, society and governance. \nGRI (Global Reporting Initiative) — the Global Reporting Initiative as a starting point for SMEs. This voluntary non-financial reporting standard is recognised around the world as a leading example in the field of sustainable development. It is based on the principles of transparency\, completeness and clarity\, and offers detailed methodological recommendations for disclosing ESG information. \nThe impact of the new standards is already being experienced\, and a proactive approach will help companies stay ahead of the competition. There are several reasons why it is too early to relax: \n\nInternational competitiveness. Without proper ESG reporting\, a company risks losing contracts or positions in international markets.\n\n\nFuture regulatory changes. Ukrainian regulations are gradually integrating international requirements\, so non-financial reporting will soon become mandatory for most medium and large companies.\n\n\nInvestments and reputation. Transparency in ESG matters is becoming an important factor for investors and lenders.\n\n  \nTherefore\, postponing reporting should be regarded as an opportunity to prepare\, rather than an opportunity to do nothing. \nTo remain competitive\, it is essential to analyse which data is missing\, initiate the collection of information\, and educate your team on the ESG fundamentals. This will ensure compliance with future requirements and provide strategic advantages today. \nJoin the webinar from BDO in Ukraine\, where you will gain a detailed understanding of all these issues. Our experts will share practical advice on how to start the transformation towards sustainable development right now\, so that your business will be ready for new standards\, increase its transparency and strengthen its position in the market for years to come. \n  \nDate: 16 October (Thursday) \nTime: 12:00-13:30 \nFormat: online \nParticipation is free of charge\, but prior registration is required.\nRegister today (registration form is in Ukrainian) and take a step towards new opportunities with BDO in Ukraine! \nSpeakers: \n\nAnastasiia Skok — Head of ESG department at BDO in Ukraine\, certified ecologist.\nVictoriia Sukhanenko — Head of Health and Safety Consulting at BDO in Ukraine\, Certified OHSMS Specialist\, Certified ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Auditor\, Vision Zero Consultant.\nOleksandra Ryabtseva — Specialist of ESG department at BDO in Ukraine.\nAndrii Borenkov — Moderator\, Head of Advisory at BDO in Ukraine\n\nWho can benefit \nCFOs\, C-level executives\, sustainable development experts\, corporate environmentalists\, HR\, risk management and strategic planning experts \nReasons to join \n\nGet practical advice on preparing for sustainability reporting.\nLearn how to adapt international standards to the Ukrainian context.\nUnderstand what steps should be taken now to maintain your competitive advantage in the future.\n\nTake a responsible and forward-thinking approach to sustainable business development together with BDO\, because it starts today. \nRegister
