DESCRIPTION:The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) will hold a Members Briefing with Youqing Ma\, the incoming Senior Commercial Officer (SCO) at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv\, organized in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Commerce. The event will take place on Wednesday\, 5 August\, at 2:00 PM ET / 9:00 PM Kyiv time in Washington D.C. and online. \nUSUBC members will be invited to briefly introduce their companies and highlight their current operations\, challenges\, or objectives in Ukraine during this introductory meeting. \nYouqing Ma will arrive in Kyiv in September to serve as Senior Commercial Officer at the United States Embassy in Kyiv\, representing the U.S. Department of Commerce in advancing U.S.-Ukraine trade and investment relations. She currently serves in Lisbon\, Portugal\, as part of the Mission Portugal leadership team\, leading efforts that have facilitated billions of dollars in U.S. exports. Her career spans postings in Japan\, Taiwan\, and Commerce Department headquarters\, where she has advanced U.S. commercial priorities across trade\, investment\, and technology cooperation. \nThe Briefing will be co-moderated by Stephanie Murphy\, Chair of the Board of Directors\, U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC); Vice President\, Crop Science and Corporate Government Affairs at Bayer and Nadiia Khomaziuk\, Vice President\, U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC). \nWe would like to thank Bayer for generous support of this event. \nThe attendance is limited to USUBC members. Sandra Oudkirk and Deputy Chief of Mission Meghan Gregonis of the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv on Thursday\, 13 August\, at 12:30-13:30 in Kyiv. Registration and welcome coffee will begin at 12:00. The venue\, located in central Kyiv\, will be shared with registered participants. \nThe discussion will provide an opportunity for members across defense\, energy\, technology\, infrastructure\, agriculture\, finance\, and other sectors to engage directly with the Chargé d’Affaires and Deputy Chief of Mission\, exchange perspectives on the evolving business and security environment\, and explore areas where U.S.-Ukraine commercial cooperation can be strengthened. \nSandra S. Oudkirk is Chargé d’Affaires\, a.i. at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv. She is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service with over 30 years of experience representing U.S. interests abroad\, including as Director of the American Institute in Taiwan and in senior roles with the Department of War and U.S. European Command. A graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service\, she speaks Mandarin Chinese and Turkish. \nMeghan Gregonis is Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv and a career member of the Senior Foreign Service\, class Minister Counselor. She brings extensive experience advancing U.S. interests through commercial diplomacy\, security partnerships\, and innovation initiatives\, including prior postings as U.S. Consul General in Dubai and in Munich. A distinguished graduate of the National War College and an alumna of New York University\, she previously served in Islamabad\, Riyadh\, Rome\, Baghdad\, and Jerusalem. \nThe event will be co-moderated by Maxym Vykhovanets\, Country Managing Partner\, PwC Ukraine; and Dmytro Filonenko\, Director\, Programming & Business Development\, U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC). \nWe would like to thank PwC Ukraine for generous support of this event. \nAttendance is limited to USUBC members.
