Maksym Kozytskyy is the Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration and serves as Chair of the Chamber of Regions of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine.

He has led the Lviv region since February 2020, initially as Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration and, following the introduction of martial law, as Head of the Regional Military Administration. In this capacity, he oversees regional governance during wartime, including security coordination, humanitarian response, infrastructure resilience, and cooperation with national and international partners.

Prior to his public service, Mr. Kozytskyy built a successful career in the energy sector, with a focus on oil and gas as well as renewable energy development. He held leadership roles in companies engaged in energy production and resource extraction, contributing to the advancement of energy projects in Western Ukraine.

Mr. Kozytskyy holds a medical degree from Lviv National Medical University. He also earned a degree in management from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and a degree in accounting and auditing from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. He began his professional career in medicine before transitioning into management and the energy industry.
